Equity PAC is endorsing Kathy Crosby and Carlos Sanchez for the GRCC board of trustees.
Carlos Sanchez is director of the Latino Business and Economic Development Center at Ferris State University and has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Davenport University. He has a certificate in Innovation and Design Management from Kendall College of Art and Design at Ferris State and working on his master's degree. In June 2017, Carlos Sanchez was appointed to the board to fill the unexpired term of Bert Bleke.
Kathy Crosby of Grandville, has been CEO and president of Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids since 2006 but is retiring in December. She served in that role since 1980. She has an MBA from the University of Maryland, a master's degree in organizational leadership and bachelor's in business administration from Siena Heights University, and an associate degree in business from Oakland Community College. Carlos and Kathy are both committed to seeing that it is not only accessible for people of color and LGBTQ students, but that they economically benefit from attending and ultimately inform policy at GRCC,” said Darel Ross of Equity PAC.
