Our members have formed a committee to understand how the current demographic makeup of cities in Kent County compares with the government workforce. The second phase of their work is creating a strategy to engage more residents in local governments, including resident commissions and boards. We see diversifying city and county workforces, commissions, and committees as key first steps in advancing local equitable policies.
